CMS tutorial

Here is an overview on how to use this content management system. This CMS is a customized version of the open source wordpress content management system. Below is a walk-through of how to use this CMS and it’s customizations.

To edit an existing page in the CMS, login with your username and password and head over to the ‘Pages’ item in the left hand side menu:

Select the page you want to edit from the list of available pages. Alternatively you can browse through the site content via the front end of the website and click the ‘Edit’ button in the toolbar on top of the page. This will link directly to the editing interface for that page where you can make amendments.

Once in the page editing interface you can then edit the page content and press the ‘Update’ button to commit the changes:

This CMS is relatively intuitive and in being so most of the features available should be self explanatory. Using the media library can potentially be confusing so here is a brief over view of adding an image to an ‘Event’ posting. When editing an Event you can use the ‘Add Media’ button above the WYSIWYG editor to open the media library interface.

From here you can insert existing images from the library or upload new images from your computer to insert into the Page or Event.
