Call for Papers
The Papers Committee invite you to “express your interest” in presenting a paper at the Cornea & Contact Lens Society Conference in Rotorua, 26-29 March 2009.
The conference registration fee will be waived for people who have papers accepted for presentation at the conference.
We encourage you to consider presenting contact lens or ocular surface case studies, research and papers of relevant clinical/therapeutic interest.
In keeping with the trend to short and sweet papers, lectures will be 8 or 13 minutes (time allocated will be determined by the Papers Committee).
Please submit an abstract and title for each proposal, as per the following criteria, as well as a copy of your CV.

Deadline for expressions of interest is 30 June 2008. If accepted a complete submission will be needed by 31 August 2008.

Cornea &Contact Lens Society Young Researcher’s Award
$1000 cash prize!
The Cornea & Contact Lens Society is offering cash prizes for the best student papers presented at the CCLS 51st Conference in Rotorua 26 – 29 March, 2009. There are TWO categories, one for optometry and one for ophthalmology, each with a cash prize value of $1000. The author(s) of the paper must have been students in 2007 or students in 2008 (optometry students, ophthalmology registrars or research fellows).
The CCLS Conference Papers Committee will select 2 optometry and 2 ophthalmology papers to be presented in Rotorua. The winner of each category will receive $1,000.00 cash.
The papers must present topics related to contact lenses, cornea or ocular surface.
All four student presenters of papers at the Rotorua Conference will also receive free registration, valued at $495 each.
